5 Day Digital Video Production / Film-making course
Monday 10th December to Friday 14th December 2007, 9.30am to 5.00pm
This is another course for Deaf people organised by WFA at the request
of Deaf people and with their support.
The course is FREE if you live in Manchester.
If you live outside Manchester the cost of the course is £179 (including
VAT)
On this five day course up to 5 Deaf people will learn how to make a short
film with training in researching / scripting, filming and editing.
A BSL interpreter will be provided each day.
You will be working together as a team and mutual support is important
on this practical, hands on course. You will be working alongside another
group of 5 hearing participants.
You will be using WFA’s professional DV Camcorder and Mac Final Cut
Pro editing facilities / equipment.
Enthusiasm and a good desire for making films are useful.
Basic experience of how to use a computer is recommended (but not essential).
WFA is a friendly media co-operative and a good place to study for people
with different skills levels. Our experienced tutors are professional film-makers
and WFA has been a City and Guilds Centre for 18 years offering National
Diploma courses.
On successful completion participants are awarded a WFA Certificate of
Completion
